Plus Size Jackets

Ladies, if you are looking for plus size coats, don’t bother trying to be practical.  Throw all caution to the wind and go all out.  There are so many trendy plus size jackets that it isn’t necessary to look like you are wearing last year’s potato sack.  It used to be that larger women had to wear plus size clothing that had no style, no fit and quite honestly, actually only intensified the fact that we are big women.  It isn’t that way any more so if you shop where they sell potato sacks, turn around and exit as gracefully as you can.  I mean, you don’t have to tell them their plus size outerwear isn’t even fit for underwear.  Just get out of there and go somewhere where you can buy fashionable plus size outerwear.

For instance, J C Crew has a line of plus size clothing that is moderately priced and in keeping with today’s fashions.  They carry plus size jackets, plus size dresses, in fact a whole line of fashionable plus size clothing.  It is so not necessary to walk around looking like the Goodyear Blimp on a bad day.  Check out styles that flaunt your curves.  In case you hadn’t noticed, big women are getting a lot of press lately.  We even have our very own calendar.  Of course, I’m not on it, but who cares.  They’ll be knocking on my door for next year’s edition because I have it, I know it, and I show it! Just the other day I went to a store and they asked me to take a few pictures with their plus size jackets! Well, not really, but a girl can dream.

Ok, what was I saying?  Oh yeah, plus size clothing.  It’s almost winter and I’m in the middle of looking for plus size winter coats.  I went online to check out the weekly ads to see if there were any plus size coats on sale.  It doesn’t appear that any of our local department stores are having any major sales yet so I’m still shopping around on line.  I mean, if you can wait until the day after Thanksgiving to go to the mall, then everybody has a major sale.  It’s like 25% off this and if you spend such and such you get 40% off.  And then those stores all have different departmental sales, like the housewares department might have 10% throughout while the plus size coat one might offer 30% off.  The only problem with that is, it’s already cold and I need a coat NOW! I mean, why would I have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get my plus size jackets at a discounted price. Furthermore, who do they think they are to make me wait? I am a shopping expert after all, right?

After searching around a bit I found that Land’s End has a huge sale on plus size jackets that is up to 40% off.  The only problem is that it only lasts another day or so and I still haven’t decided if I am going to go with plus size jackets this year or heavy, lined, plus size trench coats.  I guess if I want to take advantage of the sale I had better make up my mind.  Or, I can keep looking around because if one store is offering plus size coats on sale, then there must be a bunch more out there.  Who knows, I might even find a plus size coat that is 50% off!  And if you find one before I do, please let me know!
